“Behind every successful woman is a tribe of other successful women who have her back “

I am bursting with excitement, knowledge, experience, wisdom and gratitude. I believe with all my heart that my purpose in this life is to give back, share some of this knowledge, help to lead black women and girls towards a successful path, give more, expect less and love more. So, with this heart full of gold, I will now proceed towards fulfilling my purpose.

My name is Natasha Arokium, an Empowered, Strong and Fearless black sister. I spent most of my years working on being financially independent, productive, confident and successful. To date I have achieved among other achievements an associate degree in Computer Science, a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics, and about to wrap up my master’s degree in data science and Engineering. I am a very disciplined and determined person, that coupled with loads of patience, my strong faith in God, totally optimistic attitude, and contentment has brought me this far. I speak Spanish, play the piano, am a trained photographer (black a white), and love makeups and fashion (as vain as vain could be).

I’m not sure where I’ll be in five years, but I know by the grace of God, I’ll be just where I want to be. I recently found out via my DNA results that I am 19% Nigerian 💃🏽💃🏽, combined with 13 additional ethnicities (Indian, European, Portuguese, Amerindian). I will be on a quest to visit and learn all about my roots and culture soon. I can sure use some tips from my sisters in the group who frequently travel the world.

Learning to swim has been a challenge for me, also I need to take a toastmaster’s class on Public speaking (I suck).

Give me a bouquet of flowers, and I would be the happiest woman on earth.
